A great night of fellowship and service last night at our Cross Generational Ministry (Cross Gen). The Quilters had small hands help them sew and tie blankets that are given to those in need, 42 of our college students will be receiving care packages for Valentine's Day made by their church family, and teens worked on wall decor and painting furniture for their renovated youth rooms.
I've heard that the trend in churches today is to not include a kitchen in the building plans and do away with the "Fellowship Hall." I love that my church wants (and needs) a bigger kitchen and even more multipurpose rooms for big gatherings and meals. We eat breakfast together on Sunday mornings, dinner on Wednesday evenings, and serve over 300 people at special congregational dinners and celebrations. How beautiful is the body of Christ?!
